The exam
The Joint Entrance Examination is the route into India's engineering institutes. JEE Main, conducted by the National Testing Agency across two sessions, is used for admission to NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes — and it is the qualifier for JEE Advanced, which decides IIT admission. Both draw on the same Class 11 and Class 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus.
What makes the paper hard is not its size. Seventy-five questions in a hundred and eighty minutes is roughly two and a half minutes each, with a mark taken off for every wrong answer. A student who knows the syllabus and still scores badly is almost always losing marks to pace and to a handful of chapters they never quite closed — not to the chapters they have never seen.
That is a diagnosable problem, and it is the one this app is pointed at. Take a paper, see where the time and the marks went, practise those topics directly, then take another paper and check whether the number moved.

This is JEE Main Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech). Paper 2 for B.Arch and B.Planning is a different structure. JEE Advanced does not publish a fixed pattern in advance — it runs two compulsory three-hour papers whose question types change year to year, so no test series can honestly promise you next year's Advanced format. Confirm every detail above, including how negative marking applies to the numerical section in your session, against the official information bulletin before you plan around it.
