How is this different from a quick drill?
Quick drills are even shorter, daily practice. Topic tests are a proper (still short) paper on a chosen area. Timed sprints add a clock on a compact set.
Can I use topic tests if I am only starting?
Yes. That is often the better first format than a full mock you cannot yet finish honestly.
